Andros is famous for its beaches, where with the exception of the cosmopolitan ones in Batsi, Chryssi Ammos and Ag. Petros on the western part of the island, increasingly more visitors are impressed by the numerous bays they discover, mainly on the northern part of the island. Most beaches are sandy or with small pebbles, and offer the possibility of the so hard to find complete isolation, even during high season.
Andros offers unique pictures, not only on the coastline, but also in the mainland, with many springs and rich flora. Villages like Arni, Remata, Vourkoti, Menites and the valley of Dipotamata, where 22 water mills have been preserved to date, depict a picturesque environment, ideal for trekking in mountain paths, enjoying the summer breeze offered by small rivers, gorges and waterfalls.
Indicatively, we propose Vitali, Zorgos, Fellos, Piso Gualia and Ag. Marina, all of which have a small taverna, Vlychada, Pyrgos, Mikri and Megali Peza, Achla, Vori, Pisolimniona, Ηalkoliniona, Grias Beach, Ateni, Lefka and Apothikes, that are deserted and most of them far from any kind of settlement. Because of the size of the island the use of a car is required when visiting remote beaches, where you can explore the landscapes and enjoy your bath literally alone.
